Home Made Fly/Bug Spray #1:

Equal Parts of Vinegar, Water and Pinesol mixed.  Use as fly/bug repellent in spray bottle.

Home Made Fly/Bug Spray #2:

Equal parts of Apple Vinegar, Skin So Soft and Water Mixed.  Use as a fly/bug repellent in spray bottle.

Home Made Fly/Bug Spray #3:

Take fresh garlic cloves and crush them in either a blender or a garlic squeeze (I used a whole head of garlic).  Place into plastic container (quart) filled with water.  Let sit for 24 hours.  Drain garlic out and use liquid to spray on your horses’ legs and to spray on the walls of your stall.  The odor will keep away the flies.  You can also rub onto the legs of your horses to keep flies away.

 "Florida Crud" Remover:

That's what we call it in Florida.  It is a crud type of growth that occurs sometimes in the summertime on our horses due to the high humidity.  Mostly it appears on their legs, but sometimes on their joints.  We use Peters Rose dust Fungus Powder and mix it with water.  2 Tablespoons per 2 cup of water.  Use this mixture and scrub your horses legs where needed.  Apply daily. Do watch for irritation to the product.  If irritation does occur, discontinue use immediately.
